Die britischen Golden Joystick Awards – auch People’s Gaming Awards genannt – gingen dieses Jahr in die 35. Runde. Am 17. November 2017 wurden die Gewinner aus insgesamt 25 verschiedenen Kategorien in London bekanntgegeben.
Die großen Gewinner waren dieses Jahr – wie zu erwarten – das von Guerilla Games entwickelte Action-Rollenspiel „Horizon Zero Dawn“ in den Kategorien „Bestes Story-Telling“ und „Bester PlayStation-Titel des Jahres“ sowie Publikumsliebling „The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild“ als „Videospiel des Jahres 2017“.
